Therapeutic Approach

I believe the therapeutic relationship is built from trust and sincerity. My hope is to hold space for a genuine connection that fosters dynamic self reflection. Looking deeper into the layers of experience that inform our internal gaze and external lens, and what we intrinsically value and believe. Whether you are looking to unravel patterns of codependency, improve communication with your partner(s), or navigate through body shame and disordered eating, I see opportunity for clarity and resolve.

My clinical approach holds an intersectional feminist and psychodynamic lens. Each session is focused on deconstructing conscious and unconscious beliefs and behaviors. Weeding out what holds us captive in doubt, while empowering individuality and acceptance of self.

I specialize in relationships, sex and sexuality, body image, disordered eating, identity development, and parenting. I work with couples, adults, and adolescents of all genders and sexualities. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work in the state of California (LCSW 112174).

Clinical Experience

My initial clinical training was at the Vermont Center for Integrative Therapy where I worked somatically with clients struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, learning differences, trauma, and identity related issues (2013-2017). I spent three years as a clinician, faculty member and family wellness coach at the University of Vermont Child Psychiatry clinic and Larner College of Medicine (2017-2020) where I treated a wide range of mental health concerns and taught undergraduate level courses in the Behavior Change minor. I moved into private practice in San Francisco, CA in May of 2020 where I now treat couples, adults and adolescents. In spring of 2023 I was trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy at Alchemy Therapy, I offer in person only KAP sessions in San Francisco, CA.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic. Disassociation is the act of becoming the observer, and detaching from our usual sense of self and environment.  This disassociation has been shown to stimulate new neural pathways and growth, thereby aiding in the reorganization of unhealthy thought patterns.  Common internal changes as a result of KAP can include, but are not limited to:

  • decreased sense of fear

  • decreased negative self talk

  • increased frustration tolerance

  • increased compassion for self and others

  • calming rumination patterns

A comprehensive resource for learning about ketamine and KAP is Alchemy Therapy
